Easter - Kirkland half

We didn't know if we'd make it to Grandma Great's house this year but we got on the road and made good time so... Hooray!

This happened on the way there.  A fitting end to our vacation considering she wore that hat for nearly the entire trip.

Grandma Great had a special present for Marigold.  A bubble stagecoach!
After saying hellos, the kids made quick work of the egg hunting business.  It's a whirlwind so I decided the best spot for Adelaide was...

On the pool table.  A baby on the pool table just screams Easter.

Alexander showed me his lego loot.

Two sweet sisters.  Two sweet smiles.  Feeling their dad's presence that day and every day.

The sweet sister's wonderful mom, Irene got the bubble party started.

Marigold was appreciative.

Adelaide was actually cracking up at the bubbles.  Best sound in the world.

Lorelli got out another big bubble making contraption and the fun for the kids just kept on going.  Seriously, I couldn't even get Marigold to come in to eat and I know she was starving.

I love this picture.  Those are my loves.

Such a sweet moment with Grandma Great and her littlest great grandchild.
I'm so glad we got back in time to share our Easter with her.

Easter - Chelan Half

We had our Easter morning in Chelan before we headed back to Seattle.

It felt really fun and special to be able to create a fun morning for the girls.  Well, mostly Miss Marigold.

She was ecstatic.

A little candy with breakfast.  Holiday style.

Littlest bunny.

Both my bunnies.

Smiling.

It's become my life goal to get them to smile at the same time.

Golden shoes.

I'm just gonna keep on trying.

Cool.

Oh, so cooool!

She likes me.

I like her.

Hugs.

I'm the luckiest.

Way to go camera timer!
Happy Easter from the Schoolcrafts!

Lake Chelan

You all know Hadley from previous posts.  Lovely darling Hadley has lovely darling parents that co-own a condo in Chelan.  They generously gifted me a three night stay for a Christmas present and it was AWESOME.  I will always be grateful for the treat that it was.

Marigold helps with the luggage.

Bathing beauties.  There was an indoor pool that we made use of quite a bit.

Tiny baby in a swim suit.  Doesn't get much cuter.

Adelaide's first swim.  Like a fish took to water.  She frogger kicked and talked the entire time.

Marigold and mama even got some one on one swim time during Adelaide's nap time.  I think she liked it.

Hours and hours spent on the beach 100 yards from the condo.

Sand castles!

Beach baby.

Go get em kiddo.

Casey says it looks like Marigold wandered into a scenery shot.  Almost superimposed.

Dreamy to share some beach time with my first girl.

We went to an awesome breakfast spot call Blueberry Hills Farm.  It was gorgeous, delicious and so kid friendly.

Adelaide approves.

Breakfast view.

Another place we went offered jars of figurines to the kids during the wait.
Genius.

Such a big girl.  Where does the time go?

A winery with a restaurant and koi pond?  Okay!

Marigold got to feed the fish and I got to drink the wine.  We both won!

We played hard everyday so the kids slept like rocks.  They barely made it to 7 each night which left Casey and I time to relax together.  This was the view from the balcony.  Not too shabby.

Bye Chelan!  This was our first official family vacation and we had the best time.  We hope to continue the trend.

Until next time.....
