2nd Birthday Part One

My little big girl.  So big.  So little.  So loved.  She's two.  We had a pretty much normal day on her actual birthday.  We watched Finn and Welles which is always a party to her.  If I could figure out how to put a video on here I would make all of your day.  They are a riot together.

Little Big Girl.

First fake smile ever.  On her 2nd birthday!  I'm so proud.

2 is THIS big!!

Face.

Grandma Rowe stopped by with some loved books and and puzzles.

Birthday treat!  A little frozen yogurt with a ton of fruit on top.  She was in heaven.

Making sure she doesn't miss a thing.  We love you so much you joyful light of love.  Happy Birthday!!

Birthday Breakfast

On the morning of her 2nd Birthday, Marigold requested oatmeal with blueberries.  Okay then!

She always has liked eating.

Cruisin

Sometimes, you just gotta cruise like it was 1984.

Sweetest Niece

We were lucky enough to have my sweet niece, McKenzie overnight last weekend and I sure do love that girl.

After we picked her up we went straight to a park on the water for some outdoor fun.

Marigold adores her and she is so great with her.

Driftwood teeter-totter.

Kenzie rolled down the biggest hill ever... three times.  After the third time she didn't get up for a spell. It was a big hill:)

Nice girls.  Nice view.

Throwing rocks.

Kenzie went fishing for seaweed and made some beach art.

Marigold had to touch every flower on the way out.

Kenzie and I stayed up late and watched the Dark Crystal.  Still scary to me and I'm 32.  Muppets are rad.  In the morning Marigold helped break down the aerobed.  These girls have fun no matter what.

We took a morning trip to the park because who wants to waste sunshine?  Not us.  Kenzie wanted to hurry back so we would have time to wash the cars before she got picked up.  Seriously, that's what she wanted.

Reading The Gold some of her favorite books.  These two melt my heart.  We are so lucky to have her as a niece and M is so lucky to have her as a cousin.

We'll do it again soon.  Summer vacation is coming:)

Zoo Friends

With Spring weather here to hopefully stay, morning trips to the zoo are becoming more frequent.  I love meeting some of my favorite mama pals and watching our kids take in the magic.  Super bonus, Marigold just got a year pass to the zoo for her birthday from Grandpa Schoolcraft and Pauly:)

Welles and Marigold watch how a jaguar gets clean.

 Zoo waterfalls are the best.

How do we get out of this birdhouse?  A really fun way.

I will always try.  One day she'll look with me.

My friend Bree and her adorable son Jack were with us and brought theses lovely handmade treasures for my girls.  Bree's the craftiest.

Marigold decided it was a mouse hat.

This mouse loves her baby in a new swaddle.

The Gold in a Field

We live right next to an empty lot.

No one has ever come to tend to it and it's really overgrown.

On this Spring day, I really didn't mind.

Easter

Easter!  She seemed to catch on this year and it sure makes everything more fun.

We dyed just a few eggs.  She counted them over and over again.

What do you mean they aren't ready yet?

Okay, I'll wait.

Easter morning we had a mini egg hunt at our house to prep her for the biggie at Grandma Great's house later that afternoon.  She called it egg hide and seek and we still play it:)  We also had a snuggle in Mommy and Dada's bed in our Easter finest.

Sweet Easter girl.

Even house sized Mommy got into the Easter spirit.

Sunshine on Easter!!  We'll take it!

We had a fantastic egg hunt and dinner but the highlight was all the kids playing with Alexander's magical bubble machine.

Cousin Michelle showing all Grandma Great's lawn decorations that she used to play with when she was little.

Bubble madness.

A lady stroll.

Too.  Many.  Bubbles.  Too much fun.

*We snapped a family pic with someone's camera but I can't remember whose.  Stupid pregnant brain...
