Sissy Pics

I can't get enough pictures of my girls together.  Marigold loves her sister and it just tickles me to watch them together.

Marigold loves to hold Adelaide.  She asks ALL the time.  Adelaide is a sport about it.

Anytime I lay Adelaide n the "beach"  Marigold says, "Ok Momma, I will lay down next to Adelaide and you can take a picture."  Well alright!

Look who's mugging for the camera!!

Adelaide has just started to watch her big sister with awe and wonder.  It's so cute to see them reacting to each other.  So much fun coming our way.  Oh, and trouble too......

Little Mermaid

Okay, I sang the song from the Little Mermaid for Marigold and it went over well.  Really well.  She asks for it all the time and gets mad if I don't want to sing it 4 times in a row.  I'm enjoying it even though it's repetitive because I know there will come a day when Mama singing is SO embarrassing.

She sways back and forth and looks off into the distance and then at me.

Quietly imagining the story in her head.

When I finish she claps vigorously and says "Good job Mama!!"

The other thing she loves us to do is draw trains for her.  We draw them and then she colors all over them.  SO much joy!

Adelaide, Close up.

I spend a lot of time holding this cutie pie and taking pictures of my view.  Here are some examples of a face I could never get tired of.

Sleepy

There may have been a dirty diaper after this one...

Pure joy!
Can't get enough.  She's giving us more and more each day and I feel so blessed to be on the receiving end of these smiles.  Casey gets this grin every day when he gets home from work.  She knows us and loves us.  It's awesome.

Adelaide, One Month.

My little pixie.  Even though she's gaining really well, I still think of her as my tiny baby.  She's just more petite than Marigold was and I think she's darling.

She's such a good baby.  I'm constantly saying, "she's really no trouble".  She's a dolly and a sweetie and we love her to bits.

Happy one month, Adelaide!!

Below are Marigold's one month pics.  You can tell I took WAY more time setting her up and I must have taken 100 pictures.  This is time you have with your first.  Adelaide was lucky if we shot five frames.  My poor sweet second born.  I promise to try to track your growth as well as I have Marigold's.

Beach

Marigold used to LOVE this beach.

I guess she still does.

Little Girl

You're going to see her get bigger as this post progresses...

My little girl likes to be swaddled.

My little girl likes to look around and be stunned when she's awake.

My little girl's starting to look at me and try to talk.

She knows how to dress for parties...

... and how to recoup.

My little girl is really good at snuggling and making people feel good.

My little girl's hairline is receding.  It's okay honey, it's normal.

My little girl is still really good at snuggling.

My little girl is really good at taking it easy so Mama can have some chat time.

She's starting to give us some smiles.  This one's extra sweet and sleepy.

My little girl is getting the hang of her binkie and we both like it.

Did I mention she's good at snuggling?  She really is.
Adelaide is already a month old. (Post coming)
It's amazing how fast she's become a perfect fit in our family.  The adjustment was pretty quick and I feel so lucky to have both my girls out and in the world.  "My happy family".  Marigold says that a lot. That, or "family hug!"  Adelaide has been a great baby so far.  Each day she wakes up a little more and reveals a little more of herself to me.  It's so exciting.  She's our little girl and she's perfect.

Big Girl

My big girl likes to play with trains.

My big girl gets excited for birthdays.  This is her waiting for Grammy on her birthday.

Big girls know how to play at parks.

This big girl wears jean shorts and tell me how to play the right way.

My big girl knows how to serve tea.

My big girl is funny...

... and knows what's funny.

She knows how to test you.  Hmm, can I hit my Mom with this chair?

And thinks discipline is funny.  She's staring at the chair I took away from her.  I'm trying to scold her.  Is it working?

She is talking so clearly and blowing us away with her knowledge.  She sings and dances and rules the roost.  She's an amazing big sister who loves Adelaide and hasn't shown a bit of jealously or aggression towards her... yet.  She's our big girl and she's fantastic in every way.
